Description

Coconut is valuable perennial crop in Sri Lanka. Coconut cultivation expands about 402 649 ha which accounts for 21 per cent of agricultural lands in the country. Average Coconut production per annum is about 2590.4 million. 90% of this production has come from the Coconut triangle (Colombo, Chilow and Kurunagala). Coconut has continuous production with the peak season in May.
