Papaya(Carica papaya L.)

Description

Papaya is mainly cultivated in dry zone of Sri Lanka and mainly used for dehydration, bottling and canning. A relatively small quantity is used for manufacturing industry. Generally Papaya yields throughout the year. But month following warm temperature or moisture stress causes skip in production.
